About us: A group of about 50, mostly older adults from the Cookridge area, meet on Sunday mornings for worship and to share conversation and refreshments. Our younger families join us on Sundays when they can, and are also forming the foundation of a Messy Church congregation who meet monthly on a Saturday. Sunday worship usually follows a traditional Methodist pattern and we benefit from a range of preachers and leaders of worship from across the Leeds South and West Circuit. Our first Sunday service in the month is geared to the needs of our younger members and usually include our Scouting and Guiding groups. Messy Church is a more informal worship experience with activity, celebration and food.
Our community has a strong family feel, and we aim to welcome and include all who come. Our building is very important in our life together, as it enables us to host a wide variety of community groups, as well as offering different opportunities for worship, prayer and bible study. We believe that relationship between individuals, within our community and with God is key to a flourishing society, and we hope to make spaces where each of those relationships can grow.
